Greg Oden

I've never been one for the Ohio State Buckeyes. I usually hate their coach and every single player on the team no matter what. There was something about Oden though. Don't get me wrong though, I hated him while he was at OSU, but I could tell we might have a future.

What really sold me was when they asked him what he was going to do when he got his NBA contract and he said, "buy crest white strips." How can you not love an 18 year old who looks like like he's 40 that is a huge dork and happens to be able to run faster and jump higher than any 7 footer ever? On a sidenote, how can you not love sentences that are that long AND that hard to decipher?

So yeah, now that Greg Oden is no longer a Buckeye, I have opted to make our bromance public. No shame in my game.

Let's talk about WVU-UConn so I can rid myself of having feelings for a Buckeye. UConn is going to come out pissed. Like, stay within 40 points pissed.

It was encouraging to see drives in the last game that involved a mixture of plays, as well as passes that are caught beyond the line of scrimmage. This is where the true test comes. Can downfield plays be called two games in a row? I'm hopeful, but not counting on it.

That's all I got. Big up Fairmont. Holla. Keep it clean.

My Sweet, Sweet Mountaineers

What has happened to you? When Rich Rodriguez left, that was supposed to remove the shackles from an offense ready to explode. Bubble screens were gonna be a thing of the past and vertical passing and motion were now going to be chic.

Well, the offense is now bumbling around like they did in the 90's. Big recruits are pulling their names from West Virginia University, in fear of what people will think of them if they have their names linked to such a disaster. Pat White looks like a QB that can barely lead a team to a bowl berth. Noel Devine has been kept in check for most of the season. What a tragedy that is in itself.

Not only that, but the entire Big East is in shambles. The most notable OOC victory for the Big East is an OT win for USF over Kansas. Not that impressive, they did it on their home field in a night game. For God's sake, Pitt looks like the frontrunner for the conference. The same Pitt that lost to Bowling Green and edged Buffalo with an inspired comeback.

So what do we do now, as Mountaineers? Stop whining. Stop posting blogs like these, stating how we are the worst team ever, stop calling Coach Stew an idiot (even if he is).

Another thing, enough with the conspiracy theories. ESPN does NOT have a hidden agenda to keep the Mountaineers out of the limelight. You want to know why ESPN talks about ND, USC, and OSU more than WVU? They have the biggest fanbases and more history on their side. Get real. There are more people tuned into College Gameday to hear about those teams than there are WVU.

So while we quietly hope Bill Stewart is fired every night, keep supporting the 'Eers. Remember, 4-2 is not so bad. If the offense starts clicking, the defense is already ballin. Maybe Mullens will obtain the ability to call more than 3 plays per game and also gain the ability to use Pat White and Noel Devine effectively in the backfield. It's been known to happen in the past.

Until next time....

LET'S GO!!!
